Artisan Silk: Featuring several shibori patterns that add depth and complexity, creating a textured, three-dimensional effect unique to this process. With each raised dot representing a hand tied knot, thousands of knots were made to create this beautiful silk.

Vintage Condition: Very good. There are minor dye bleed on the lining.
One Size Fits Most: Shoulder width: 29 inches, Length: 27 inches. The dropped sleeves allow for a range of shoulder widths and the loose unstructured T-shape accommodates all body types and genders. The sleeves are approximately 11 inches wide and have the traditional kimono opening at the under arm to accommodate multiple layers of robes.
Timeless Design: This unstructured Japanese jacket is called an haori and was originally worn over a samurai’s armor. The geisha women began wearing them as a fashion statement in the late 19th century and the jacket soon became ubiquitous as a short overcoat for all occasions.
